What is Traditional Thai Massage?
Traditional Thai Massage has existed for over 1000 years and is commonly known as “Lazy Mans Yoga” unlike oil based massage the treatment is performed fully clothed on a mat or futon on the floor. It has a strong Ayurvedic influence, but also has a very disciplined emphasis on energy lines known as “SEN” much like Chinese Traditional Medicine.
It is believed that good health is a result of unhindered flow of vital energies through the body’s tissues, and this can be achieved by working on these energy lines, this is done through a series of stretches and using the practitioner’s thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet and knees to press and stretch your body. The Thai’s believe that good health is a result of unhindered flow of vital energies through the body’s tissues.
A treatment can leave you in a sublime state of relaxation.
